This California Privacy Notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies only to California residents. We provide this Notice to describe our practices and, to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (the “CCPA”), applies to Verdwell, to explain the rights available under that law. Terms defined in the Privacy Policy have the same meaning here. To the extent anything in this Notice conflicts with the Privacy Policy for a California resident, this Notice controls.
In the past 12 months, we have collected the following statutory categories of personal information. We do not collect the categories not listed (including biometric information, professional or employment information, education information, or precise geolocation).
Identifiers — such as the email address associated with your account and your IP address.
Commercial information — such as your subscription status and records of properties you have searched or reports you have saved.
Internet or other electronic network activity information — such as your interactions with the Services, including searches and Verdwell Assistant conversations.
We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA.
We collect this information directly from you, automatically as you use the Services, and, for property data only, from third-party sources. We do not acquire personal information about you from data brokers.
We use these categories for the business purposes described in the Privacy Policy: to provide, operate, and secure the Services; to authenticate you; to process subscriptions and payments; to enforce usage limits and prevent abuse and fraud; to respond to your inquiries; and to comply with legal obligations.
We disclose the categories above to our service providers (for example, our hosting, database, payment, email, bot-detection, mapping, property-data, and AI providers) solely so they can perform services for us, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may also disclose personal information for legal, safety, and compliance purposes, and in connection with a business transfer.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months, including with respect to any consumer under 16 years of age. Because we do not sell or share personal information, we do not offer a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” option, and none is required.
We retain personal information for the periods described in the “How Long We Keep Your Personal Data” section of the Privacy Policy.
Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to:
Know and access the specific pieces and categories of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients.
Delete personal information we have collected from you.
Correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (not applicable, as we do not sell or share).
Non-discrimination — you will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@verdwell.com. We will verify your request using information associated with your account before we act on it, and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, in which case we may require proof of the agent’s authorization and verification of your identity.
